Care Circle

Like to care for our congregants directly? Taking care of each other builds community. One might like phone calls, another prefers texting, and another favors taking people to medical appointments or delivering a meal. Whatever your preference, the underlying current is that these folks direct engagement with people. Find yourself a place in our Care Circle. Time involvement varies. Pastoral Care Associates

UUC has a team of Pastoral Associates who offer confidential, emotional support and spiritual companionship to fellow church members. Our Pastoral Associates are trained and mentored by our minister. We are always looking for caring individuals who have a passion and commitment to helping others. If you have an interest in joining the team, please contact the Campus Administrator.

Property

The UUC Property Committee keeps our campus safe and beautiful. Mostly, it is a property management team - with some elbow grease thrown in for good measure. Each member takes on a task that fits their skills and interests. Do any of these resonate with you?

• Organizing tools and supplies in our workshop and landscaping closets

• Planting, weeding, watering and mulching

• Sidewalk edging/leaf raking

• Contacting vendors to bid on or make minor repairs, calling known vendors to schedule maintenance or repairs, OR being present to let a vendor in at UUC

• Multiple office-type tasks, most of which can be done from the comfort of your own home

Monthly meetings take place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (via Zoom) at 7:00 PM.  Go to our calendar to and find the Zoom meeting information. Contact our Property Committee if you would like to learn more.

Stewardship

Enjoy raising funds to support Unitarian Universalism? The annual canvass takes place each spring to ask for financial pledges from members and friends. A lot of help is needed for this annual project. You can help request, track, record and report on progress. Time requirements vary, but this initiative begins in March of every year. Reach out to UUC's Board Treasurer to learn more about this process.

Finance Committee

Are you a "numbers person" who enjoys supporting the financial aspects of our faith community? Do you enjoy making budgets and monitoring income and expenses? Time commitment varies, but reach out to our Finance Committee Chair to learn more.

Curious about UUC's history? Love to organize? We'd love to have you help us organize our paper history! Time involvement varies. Reach out to us at the Front Desk to learn more.

Office Volunteers

Do you like to greet people, answer the phone and help with clerical solutions? If you have availability two weekday mornings a month (Tuesday - Friday, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM), we'd love to have you! You would be helping the staff, board and various committees with their office needs. If you're comfortable using a computer (or willing to learn!), we'll train you on the rest. Reach out to our Campus Administrator to learn more.

Grounds and Garden Team 

The G & G Team is committed to developing, maintaining, managing, supporting and enhancing the UUC campus as a beacon to serve the wider community. It recognizes the attraction of the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our surroundings, and seeks to be the best possible stewards of our environment in keeping with our UU principles. The G & G Committee has numerous Garden Party Picnic/Potluck events, spruce-up Saturdays, and various play days that bring the congregation together to celebrate and enhance our beloved campus and community. Making Peace Team

The Making Peace Team meets regularly and is available to mediate conflicts between UUC members. The members are highly trained mediators. The policy and format are available on the confidential form box outside the UUC office. If you are a trained mediator and are interested in finding out more about the team, please email the Campus Administrator to learn more about this process.
