In response to the recent and on-going pandemic, a new group formed here at UUC to share coping techniques with one another. We talk about what's "feeding our souls" and keeping us grounded right now. In a world that feels more uncertain and unprecedented with each passing month, we feel that it is important to support one another. Anyone is welcome to join us on Fridays at 1pm on Zoom.
For the time being, we meet on Zoom at 1:00 pm on Friday afternoons. The Zoom Meeting ID info is:
Meeting ID: 977 7424 9139
Each week we invite someone to share with us about what is "sustaining" or "nourishing" them spiritually right now. Here's a taste of our topics. For more information, please feel free to reach out to Kathy Krohn or Julie Daysa (firstname.lastname@example.org).

"Chair Yoga" with Barbara Shimer, who draws on her lifelong experience with yoga and meditation to teach us some simple but effective yoga moves. We all left feeling lighter after this very approachable form of yoga.
"Tiny Habits" with Aryna Ryan, based on the best-selling book by Dr. B.J. Fogg. Dr. Fogg, who is a behavioral psychologist at Stanford, invites us to think about a small habit we would like to adopt - and watch how our lives can change. Check out B.J. Fogg, Ph.D.'s book on Amazon.
"The Four Pebbles Meditation" with Julie Daysa, based on Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings. The "four pebbles" are: "flower ...fresh; mountain ...solid; calm water ...reflecting; space ...freedom." You can use pebbles, shells, spools of thread, bits of pottery, or any small object (or even meditation cards) for this exercise.
