Rev. Patrice accepted her ministerial role with UUC in 2015. She holds a Master of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, California, a Masters in International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BS in Anthropology from the University of California-Davis with further post graduate work at Oxford University. Rev. Patrice brings her vast cultural experience to UUC in her very humble, poignant, and unique way. Her leadership and compassion serve our congregation well.
Alyssa took over as UUC's administrator in March of 2017. Born and raised in Florida, Alyssa Diaz is an enthusiastic and innovative professional with years of Administrative experience and is a Notary Public of Florida. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys painting and making mixed-media art.
Carol has been UUC's bookkeeper since March of 2015, and just took on the Events Coordinator role in early November 2016. She has worked in arts promotion both professionally and as a volunteer. Her experience in all areas of office administration is extensive having worked as an accounting software consultant, run her own business services company, and served as office manager for several different companies. Most recently she was the Controller for University Housing Services, Inc. in St. Petersburg. Carol has a BA from Eckerd College in American Studies with a focus on the Environment, and a minor in Fine Arts. She loves the outdoors, both as a participant and an outdoor educator. She is a nature photographer, digital artist, and painter.
Christine began her role as Religious Educator at UUC in 2008 after many years as a volunteer educator at UUC. She considers her RE as a form of ministry and spiritual practice. Christine holds a BA in History from Binghampton in New York. She enjoys reading, vegan cooking and spending time with her three boys.
Dr. Katz has been with UUC since Septemer 2009. David directs the adult Chorale and administrates the musical offerings at UUC. He has held positions at a number of UU congregations throughout Florida, and has also served as cantorial soloist at Temple Shalom in Port Charlotte. A classically trained singer, pianist and organist, he holds degrees from Peabody Conservatory of Music and Ohio Wesleyan University. His life is shared with his partner, Chuck, and their Chihuahua.
Linda has been with UUC since September 2005. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees in piano performance from UCF and USF. Linda has maintained a studio for private piano teaching and is a collaborative artist. Linda enjoys gardening, making mosaics, art and tending to her four parrots.
Ed has been with UUC since May 2010. He is a military veteran with more than 20 years experience in psychiatric nursing at the local veterans hospital. Ed continues to work with veterans and he volunteers at the local YMCA. Ed is an avid basketball player.
