ANASTASIA MAXWELL LIBRARY

The vast majority of our collection comes from a generous donation by Bill Maxwell, who donated books from his personal library. Bill Maxwell is a member of UUC, a St. Petersburg Times Columnist and a college teacher. Our library is named in honor of Bill Maxwell's daughter, Anastasia. The Anastasia Maxwell Library is located in the Social Hall, and is open to UUC members and friends on Sundays after worship services. We use the honor system for checkout and return of books. We do ask that you always sign your books in and out and limit your checkout duration to 30 days. Our Collection of over 4,000 books includes: Biographies, American and World History, African-American , Studies, Civil Rights, Social Justice, Education, Ethnic Studies, GLBT, Government, Politics
Jewish History and Culture, Nature and Science, Philosophy, Social Science, Theology and Religion (including Unitarian Universalism), Women’s Studies For more information, please contact our Librarian.

UUC proudly participates in The Green Sanctuary Program. Originally nurtured and managed by the Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth, the program was designed to give roots and wings to the vision that, together, we can create a world in which all people make reverence, gratitude, and care for the living Earth that is central to our lives. The Green Sanctuary Program is voluntary and participation provides a framework for congregations and congregants to proclaim and live out their commitment to taking responsibility for our planet. It is a way for all Unitarian Universalists' to join our efforts, both symbolically and explicitly, in becoming stewards of the Earth. Please join us as we strive to preserve our community and our planet.
